We currently have 26 supportive HWHS members that regularly contribute through their membership to the hedgehog sanctuary. This valuable contribution goes towards the ongoing costs we incur daily. We would love to increase the membership numbers to 30. Can you help us?
With the increase in the cost of electricity, insurance, costs of running the rescue vehicle and hedgehog consumables such as, medical treatments, gloves, various disinfectants, wound sprays, as well as, food, your support means more to us than ever before!
Supporting Hornbeam Wood Hedgehog Sanctuary
We are a family run registered charity with 100% of donations going to help the hedgehogs.
British Wild Hedgehogs are on the red list of endangered species with nearly 70% of their population decreased over the past decade in rural areas and a third from towns and cities.
We are a small family run Registered Charity that helps rehabilitate wild hedgehogs. You can support us with donations, gifts, fundraising, sponsorship, partnerships, or legacies. We would appreciate your support even if it's helping to raise awareness and telling others about us and letting them know what we do to help the hedgehogs.

Why you should join:
Every person who becomes a member makes a huge difference to help hedgehogs.
You will be helping us to rescue injured hedgehogs and orphaned hoglets.
You will be helping us to keep over-wintered, underweight hedgehogs warm and fed until they are fit to be released back in to the wild.
You will be helping us to buy vital medical supplies, heat pads, food, and accommodation for the hedgehogs that are in our care before being released back in to the wild.
You will be helping to boost and maintain local hedgehog populations.
You will be invited to attend special hedgehog events organised by Hornbeam Wood Hedgehog Sanctuary.

The charity receives no funds from the Government and our work is largely funded by people like you who want to support local wildlife and help British Hedgehogs.

IMPORTANT NOTES ON MEMBERSHIP PLANS:
- Membership Plans can be gifted to someone else, in this case, they will receive the welcome pack and benefits. Please email us if you would like to gift to someone else.
- Your welcome pack will be sent out in the post; it normally takes 7-10 days to arrive. Please ensure you leave a phone number and/or email so we can confirm the postal address and recipient.
- Please note that we cannot send gifts to destinations outside of the United Kingdom. Also note that certificates will be emailed for you to print off if you are located outside of the United Kingdom.
- If you are becoming a "Hedgehog Sanctuary Member" which includes a visit, please see your welcome pack regarding instructions for visiting the Sanctuary.
