Meet Spike

Spike was rescued from Harpenden after being found out during the day. Spike is now comfortably resting in one of the sanctuary's incubators in the Hog Hospital and beginning to gain weight. Spike likes to nest under the towels.

We are a family run Charity looking after British Wild Hedgehogs. Our Charity is based in Harpenden, Hertfordshire and we rescue hedgehogs from Harpenden and the surrounding areas.

Mother and son are involved on a daily basis and the Charity rehabilitates wild hedgehogs and orphaned baby hoglets that are sick, injured, or underweight.

The Wild British Hedgehog has been included in the International Union for the Conservation of Nature’s (IUCN) Red List for British Mammals. Their population has decreased by about 50% in urban areas and 70% in rural areas since the year 2000.

If you would like to donate to Spike, please click here. We use 100% of donations to help hedgehogs!
